Batting league is a fast and fun baseball activity for improving hitting skills during the off-season. Shake off the rust before the spring season begins. Games are 100% offense with simulated defense. Hit singles, doubles, triples and home runs. Get 20 to 30 at bats per game. Batting sessions and games are coed but batting competitions will be based on batting averages and totals in four division separated by age and gender: Upper elementary boys and girls (4th/5th grade), middle school boys and girls. (6th to 8th grade)
Sessions will include a combination of tee work, side and front toss, and machine pitch using both safety and real baseballs. Leaderboards and standings will be tracked weekly and reported to players weekly. Standings for highest batting average, most home runs, and most extra-base hits will be kept. There are 5 one-hour sessions total. No requirement to attend all 5 but the more you can make the more you will improve and the better your chances to move up the leaderboards. A minimum of 3 sessions are required to qualify for highest batting average.
No Cleats! Gym shoes only. Bring your batting helmet and bat. USA Baseball, BBCOR, and USSA bats are all permitted. Limited availability for helmets and bats if you would like to borrow.
